The kidnappers who kidnapped six students of the Lagos Model College in Igbonla area of Epe seem to have relocated the students from the creeks between
Lagos and Ogun states to another creek yet to be discovered by security operatives.

This is because the operatives seem to have trailed them to their den in Ibeju Lekki- Epe inwards a creek in Ogun State.

There was an indication that the kidnapped students had been moved to a creek in the Niger-Delta because some of the parents had
failed to meet the demands of the kidnappers despite the slash in the ransom demanded.

Though, some of the parents complied by providing Two Million Naira which they were instructed to bring to a pot at Odogunyan in Ikorodu but were told to go back home with the promise that they would be contacted
on where to drop the ransom.

The students have spent eleven days in the hands of the kidnappers who have
further reduced the ransom to N100 million for all their victims but some of the parents who have provided the ransom are now frustrated
because the kidnappers are constantly changing the collection point for the ransom.

The police spokesman in Lagos, Mr. Olarinde Famous-cole said that the police
was concentrating on how to rescue the students unhurt.

He said hopefully the students would be freed at all cost , we will do everything to rescue them.

‘’Lagosians should be more security conscious in whatever they do and where
they go to’’

You will remember that the police last week apprehended three members of the gang in Benin, Edo state when they came
out to survey the waterways to enable them to relocate safely.
